Common Sense

"Mankind being originally equals in the order of creation, the equality could only be destroyed by some subsequent circumstance: the distinctions of rich and poor may in a great measure be accounted for, and that without having recourse to the harsh ill-sounding names of oppression and avarice."

That was written by Thomas Paine. It's as pertinent now as it was back then.

I urge you to watch the video above, and think about who you vote for next time. Most people agree with Ron Paul...yet no one votes for him. I will never again vote for someone that I don't like again. I voted for McCain. I'm not happy with myself. I'm either voting Paul or Palin next time around.

You should always vote with your convictions, regardless of whether that candidate has a serious chance of winning. People that vote for the "lessor of two evils" are fooling themselves into thinking they are getting something better than the alternative.

We have been manipulated into accepting that there are two choices, and if you don't vote for one of those two then you are wasting your vote. You know who promotes that view the most? The Republican and Democratic politicians. You know what? So that they can maintain their power.

And all that does is lead us to where we are now and where we will be in the future, which is a precipice and a fall, respectively.

"Conservatives" who only vote with the Republican party are just as guilty as socialist Liberals for our current predicament.

The sad thing is that there is really no turning back. We need to fall, and fall hard, before we can get up, brush ourselves off, and get started again. But unfortunately the fall is not very pleasant.

Amen brother! I promise I will never do it again. I feel a little dirty.

I have to also agree. No more voting for the "lesser of two evils", because you still end up with evil.
