correct me if im wrong but isnt obama talking about the idea of change moreso than the actual "change" regan brought?
You may be right. I think he was hesitant to give Reagan credit for what he actually did though. The people loved Reagan. Republicans and Democrats alike voted for him in droves. Ever hear the term "Reagan Democrat?" However, the Democrat politicians hated him. Still do. It's my belief that, that was as complimentary as Obama could get without pissing some serious folks off. Like I said...I could totally be wrong here, it's just my opinion.
I just watched the video again. I actually see some fairly complimentary things coming from Obama. You should do a little research on Reagan. What he meant by "changing the trajectory" was turning the country around. It was headed for the crapper when Reagan took over. After Reagan was done...we were in a much better place than we were 8 years before.
