What a day huh? Over 170 million spent on one day. Unbelievable! Bush was vilified for spending around 40 million. Anybody see the hypocrisy? Let the double standards begin. Obama is going to be able to get away with anything he wants to, for quite awhile. I'm not sure the media is ever going to let him fail. They put far to much effort into getting him elected.
Anyway, the democrats have the helm for the next two years. We will see how long they keep it. The republicans need to shape up and start acting like republicans...instead of neo-cons. Whatever happens, these are going to be an interesting four years.

as you can tell from the attendance, this inauguration was at least 4 times bigger than bush's. Given the historic nature of the day and the fact that it overshadowed the econimic problems for like a week I'd let it slide. I would have a problem if the party goes all out next time though
if you havent posted your "mona lisa" comment then you should
No President is worth an inauguration costing 170 million dollars.
Actually, I heard it came to over 180 million. Not worth it. I don't care who it is.
it wasnt as much for Obama as it was for the majority of america who celebrated the day. i think it was kinda excessive, but i was also more enthusiastic than the two of you.
I understand the need for people to celebrate. I just think in a time of crisis...over 180 million was probably a little over the top. When he loses in 2012 I think I might go boo him in Washington. I want it to be festive...just not 180 million kinda festive.
